A neon cross now adorns the Chapel of the Good Shepherd, a project initiated by the Old Boys' Association sub committee of Bandarawela. The cross was lit up on Sunday 2nd April, 2023, after a service led by the Ven. Christopher Balraj and Rev. Joel Jackson.

Mrs. Ranji Rajiah, the daughter of the former Headmaster, Mr. V.D. Paul Raj who built the current chapel, was given the honour of illuminating the cross.
